When Elite AI-Assisted Coding first launched, cloud-agent delegation was early and revolutionary. Still, we insisted on giving it a respectable almost-third of the course, convinced that this is becoming the right approach.
Things have moved quickly. I now spend less time asking AI to write code and more giving agents outcomes, context, constraints, and a definition of done. They implement, check the result, deploy, manage, and report back.
This is factory mode: a persistent system of autonomous agents, with access to tools, skills, tests, and feedback loops. People retain responsibility for intent, judgement, and verification while the factory handles the implementation and administration end-to-end.
Hugo Bowne-Anderson and I have explored these ideas together for some time. Hugo is an exceptional educator and adviser whose work has reached more than six million learners. He has a rare ability to make complex technical ideas clear, practical and approachable, and I’m genuinely excited to teach this course with him. I am delighted that we are teaching this together.
In our upcoming two-week course, Build Your Agentic Software Factory, you will set up our own factory, build and evolve working applications, and learn to specify, delegate, verify, and publish software. It is open to experienced developers and people who have never written code.
